"If every American donated five hours a week, it would equal the labor of 20 million full-time volunteers."

Mystic Valley Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer Opportunities

The Mystic Valley MRC welcomes individuals from a variety of disciplines including:

  • Public health professionals and health educators
  • Practicing or retired physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, muscular therapists, social workers, medical interpreters, and others
  • Students and faculty in medical, public health, mental health and other health programs of higher learning
  • Community members interested in making a difference

Volunteers must complete a minimum of training before becoming active in the organization. Basic training takes as little as a few hours; training for leadership roles takes slightly longer. After that, there is no weekly requirement of time for volunteers. You will only be called to serve during an event affecting public health.
